The world is reacting as Donald Trump continues to celebrate his victory in Tuesday’s election and Kamala Harris tearfully conceded.

There remain a few outstanding races in the 2024 election. Arizona and Nevada have yet to be called, with both likely leaning toward putting Trump over 300 electoral votes.

There remain four races to be called in the Senate which stands at 52-44 in favor of the GOP. Democrats still are seen as favorites to win Arizona, Republicans have the inside track to win Pennsylvania, while Nevada is still seen as a tossup.

Maine also remains un-called, though incumbent Angus King has claimed victory.

King is, like Bernie Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Democrats.

Republicans lead the House of Representatives race 206-191, with the GOP favored to claim the 218 seats necessary to win back their majority as 38 races are yet to be called.

‘That was the impetus for them to say, “We need to participate,”‘ the source said. ‘This is about neighbors helping neighbors.’

The 60-year-old was seen being embraced by his daughter Ella as his wife said: ‘To my beloved Doug and our family, I love you so very much.’

Daughter Ella Emhoff and Harris’ running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz patted his heart and appeared to also hold back tears as the incumbent vice president thanked him and his family.

Olympic Gold-winning gymnast Simone Biles demanded Joe Biden take action for the remainder of his term in a social media post following Kamala Harris’ loss.

She wrote to X: ‘Mr. Biden, I need you to stand up, straighten your back and make some things shake before your departure.’

She signed it on behalf of ‘the women in America.’

The White House announced Wednesday evening that President Joe Biden will address the American people Thursday from the Rose Garden.

Biden waited until Vice President Kamala Harris could have her moment – conceding the election to former President Donald Trump at her alma mater Howard University on Wednesday afternoon.

The president is following in the footsteps of President Barack Obama, who addressed the country, with Biden by his side, the day after Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Trump.

Biden already called Trump and invited him to the White House for the traditional meet-and-greet and both Biden and Harris said they would help Trump with the transition.

It’s a stark difference to Trump’s refusal in 2020 to concede – falsely saying that the election had been stolen. Trump also broke norms by refusing to attend Biden’s inauguration.

The White House has already said that Biden will attend the January 20th gathering.

Harris thanked her supporters and said her ‘heart is full of trust and love of our country’ and said she’s ‘so proud’ of the race she ran.

‘The outcome of this election is not want we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for,’ she said, adding that America’s light won’t go out as long as ‘we never give up and we keep fighting.’

Joe Biden released his first public statement on Kamala Harris’ loss to Donald Trump on Wednesday.

He did not reference her defeat but reacted to her concession speech.

‘What America saw today was the Kamala Harris I know and deeply admire. She’s been a tremendous partner and public servant full of integrity, courage, and character.’

Biden called Trump and plans to give a speech on Thursday.

Melania Trump reacted to her husband’s presidential election victory with a post to X on Wednesday evening.

The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility.  

The former first lady vowed that Doanld Trump would ‘safeguard’ freedom.

The Trump campaign issued a statement on Wednesday evening detailing a call from President Joe Biden inviting the president-elect to the White House in order to ease the transition.

Spokesman Steven Cheung said the meeting will take place soon.

President Joe Biden called President Donald J. Trump to congratulate him on his victory and extended an invitation to the White House to ensure a smooth transition between the current Administration and the incoming Administration. President Trump looks forward to the meeting, which will take place shortly, and very much appreciated the call.

Millions of Americans were glued to the TV on the night of November 5 as they watched in shock as Trump pulled off a jaw-dropping political comeback and regained his seat in the White House.

The accidental commentary came as host Bret Baier was providing late-night analysis just after 2am eastern time.

Fox News had said former President Donald Trump was on track to be the winner and began talking about what this means for America’s power structure.

The British prime minister is the latest world leader to congratulate Donald Trump on his election win.

Sir Keir Starmer met Trump at Mar-a-Lago in September, at a time when foreign leaders realized they needed to start building relations with the Republican nominee.

The U.S. and the U.K. are key defense and intelligence allies, as the two discussed the situation in the Middle East among other issues.

The Walzes’ daughter Hope appeared visibly emotional as her dad was recognized during Harris’ speech.

And Doug Emhoff stood alongside them and his own daughter Ella during the remarks.

VP Kamala Harris thanked her supporters and said her ‘heart is full of trust and love of our country.’

‘The outcome of this election is not want we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for,’ she said.

But she added that America’s light won’t go out as long as ‘we never give up and we keep fighting.’

She went on to say that the results of the 2024 presidential election must be accepted.

‘We must accept the results of this election. Earlier today, I spoke to President-elect Trump to congratulate him.’

Vermont’s Independent Senator Bernie Sanders is going scorched-earth after Democrats’ stunning Election Night losses.

It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.

First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well.

While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.

Kamala Harris’ West Wing office is just shy of a mile from her father’s Washington, D.C. home.

But it seems their lives could not be further apart.

Despite the proximity between father and world-famous daughter, there is no record of Donald, 86, ever having visited her in the White House.

His name does not appear in any of the publicly available visitor logs from her three-and-a-half years in office. Nor are there any recent public photographs of the pair together.

It is possible that the VP has privately hosted her father in her government-provided home – at the United States Naval Observatory in DC – where visitor records are not public.

But it is perhaps more likely that Donald Harris has kept a deliberate distance, determined to stay away from what he has described as the ‘political hullabaloo’ surrounding his daughter, whose controversial comments he once criticized as ‘a travesty’.

For her part, VP Harris has previously described their relationship as ‘not close’.

So just who is Donald Harris?

The former House speaker talked with Harris supporters just before she took the stage for her concession speech at Howard University Wednesday afternoon.

Pelosi is credited with putting pressure on Joe Biden to step down from the race over the summer.

Her strategy didn’t end up playing out well for the Democrats in the long-run.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James delivered an aggressive message to New Yorkers on Wednesday, vowing to ‘fight back once again’ against President-elect Donald Trump.

“If possible, we will work with the administration but will not compromise values, integrity and principles,” James said in remarks delivered to the press on Wednesday.

‘We face this challenge We are prepared to fight back once again,’ she said, vowing to ‘protect and defend New Yorkers.

She did not address her prosecution and Trump’s conviction for falsifying business records related to hush money payments made to porn star actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on November 26.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin squeaked by with a victory against former Rep. Mike Rogers in the swing state Senate race.

The margin of victory was much too-close-for-comfort for the Democratic representative in an increasingly blue-leaning state as she was 4.2 percent behind with 66 percent of the vote tabulated around 1:30 a.m. on Election Night.

When the race was called on Wednesday afternoon, Slotkin edged out Rogers by less than one percent.

Rogers had hoped to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow, helping Republicans grow their new majority in the U.S. Senate.

President Biden spoke by phone with Vice President Harris on Wednesday after she conceded the election to Donald Trump.

He congratulated the Vice President on her historic campaign, an aide told DailyMail.com.

In addition, he invited the Republican to the White House.

Biden plans to address the nation tomorrow.

The bickering over who was to blame for Kamala Harris‘ defeat at the presidential election began in earnest even before the result was declared.

Democrats blamed Tim Walz for being too left wing, too folksy, and too tainted by the Kenosha riots, while others blamed every demographic possible.

Not enough white women showed up, too many black men switched to Donald Trump since 2020, and Hispanic voters abandoned the party.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries believes Democrats still have a chance to take control.

‘The House remains very much in play,’ he said in a statement released on Wednesday.

‘The path to take back the majority now runs through too close to call pick-up opportunities in Arizona, Oregon and Iowa – along with several Democratic-leaning districts in Southern California and the Central Valley.’

The Democrat, who represents an area outside of New York City, also celebrated how Democrats flipped multiple seats in the Empire State.

Dozens of House races still have yet to be called by the Associated Press.

Donald Trump absolutely obliterated the midwest ‘blue wall’ Democrats were hoping would hold in the 2024 election and deliver a victory to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The race was called for the new president-elect over night in battlegrounds of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin . Then Wednesday afternoon, the Associated Press called the race in Michigan as Trump prepares to sweep all seven of the swing states.

Harris’s campaign had hope the VP could take at least some of the rust belt, but Trump’s blue collar base showed up and handed him a victory in all three states.

According to calls made by the Associated Press, Trump won Pennsylvania by 2.2 percent , Wisconsin by 0.9 percent and Michigan by 1.4 percent.

Democrat Tammy Baldwin held onto her Wisconsin Senate seat after being given a run for her money by Republican businessman Eric Hovde.

The Associated Press projected that Baldwin won, holding back the strong Republican challenge by Donald Trump-backed Hovde.

It was a nail-biting race that had the candidates neck-and-neck leading into Election Day.

Republicans had hoped to flip the seat red this cycle as the GOP works to take back control of the Senate.

Kamala Harris called Donald Trump and formally conceded the election to him.

‘She discussed the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans,’ a senior Harris aide said.

Harris will deliver remarks at Howard University later today. Trump is spending the day at his home at Mar-a-Lago.

Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro all wore dark outfits for the post-Election Day episode on Wednesday, although Whoopi Goldberg opted for a white shirt and a pink floral jacket.

He won it by improving on his 2020 vote haul in populous Oakland and Kent Counties, while improving on his numbers across almost the entire state.

He was leading Kamala Harris 53-46 with more than 80 percent of the vote counted.

Michigan played an outsized role in the primaries and again in the general election as one of the most competitive battleground states.

It has 15 electoral votes but looms large in the national consciousness as the heart of the U.S. auto industry.

The state is a key plank in the ‘blue wall’ that Trump cracked in 2016 – after Hillary Clinton famously failed to visit the state until days before Election Day.

Joe Biden grabbed it back in 2000, and it served as a major battleground between Trump and Harris.

The first sign that Michigan would pose trouble for Democrats came in the primary, where Israel’s war in Gaza was proving increasingly unpopular.

Only 61 percent of the 2024 election ballots had been tabulated in Arizona as of midday Wednesday.

The race has not been called in the southwestern border state, though Trump is leading VP Kamala Harris by 4.7 percent in Arizona

Trump doesn’t need the 11 Electoral College votes from Arizona after the Associated Press called the presidential race for the former president in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The longest-serving party leader in Senate history, Mitch McConnell, gave a heartfelt congratulations to Donald Trump on Wednesday.

‘It’s certainly a happy day on behalf of the GOP,’ McConnell said on Capitol Hill. ‘Let me congratulate Donald Trump.’

The two have often butted heads, and McConnell drew Trump’s fury years ago for bashing the former president’s handling of January 6.

‘What he’s accomplished for the first time since Grover Cleveland,’ the Republican remarked, noting how only one other president in U.S. history won non-consecutive terms.

‘The conversation was warm and cordial,’ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.

‘The Prime Minister congratulated Trump on his election victory, and the two agreed to work together for Israel’s security. The two also discussed the Iranian threat.’

Netanyahu’s office said he was among the first world leaders to call Trump after his victory.

A Senate race that pitted two former national security officials against each other has them separated by just a few hundred votes in Michigan, with the strength of Donald Trump’s Senate majority still to be set.

Republican Mike Rogers, a former FBI official who has voiced Trump criticism in the past but has closely aligned with him in his election battle, was leading in the count into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

But Democratic rival Rep. Elissa Slotkin passed him in the late morning, as votes from Wayne County, which includes Detroit, finally came in.

With 95 percent of the vote in, Slotkin was leading Rogers 48.5 to 48.4 percent, as the lead went up and down between a few hundred and 1,000 votes.

Donald Trump spent Wednesday morning recharging his batteries and getting used to his status as president elect by receiving and returning calls from world leaders, according to a source in Palm Beach, Florida .

With Vice President Kamala Harris expected to concede defeat with a speech later in the day, he cut a low profile after his stunning return to power.

His senior staff, family, and friends partied at Mar-a-Lago until 5:30am, celebrating his improbably comeback.

‘They are letting him make the phone calls he needs to make,’ said an insider.

‘That’s the important thing, right? He has to talk to world leaders, accept their congratulations and hear what their priorities are. And that’s what he’s doing right now.’

Donald Trump is leading in Nevada in a sign the state will flip red for the first time since the 2004 election.

As of Wednesday morning, the Associated Press has not called the presidential race in Nevada.

But with 84 percent of the vote tabulated, Trump is leading over Vice President Kamala Harris by 4.7 percent.

Nevada takes a while to tabulate all the votes considering state law allows for the counting of mail-in ballots that are received up to three days after Election Day.

And Harris did worse on Tuesday than Joe Biden in the 2020 contest among key voting groups including women, the working class and Latinos.

The Associated Press has still not called the presidential election results in Michigan.

With 98 percent of the vote tabulated as of midday on Wednesday, Donald Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris by 1.6 percent.

With only about 90,000 votes separating the two, the AP is waiting until votes in some critical counties are counted to call the race one way or the other.

Still, Trump doesn’t need Michigan, he already won the popular vote and the Electoral College votes needed to take the White House.

Savannah Guthrie has left viewers seriously impressed after she returned to NBC on Wednesday morning following around-the-clock election coverage – with many shocked at how she was still awake.

The broadcaster, 52, had hosted Tuesday’s episode of Today as normal before going on to lead the network’s primetime coverage of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris‘s race to the White House later that night.

There was no rest for Savannah, who was back on screens at the top of the morning to announce that Trump had pulled off a political comeback after being declared the winner of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Republicans have recaptured the majority in the Senate for the first time in four years, but how large their majority remains to be seen.

There are still several races that are too close to call:

In Arizona, Democrat Ruben Gallego is currently leading Republican Kari Lake.

In Michigan, Democrat Elissa Slotkin is leading Republican Mike Rogers in the race for the open seat being vacated by retiring Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow.

In Nevada, Republican Sam Brown is leading Democratic incumbent Senator Jacky Rosen by less than 1,000 votes.

In Pennsylvania, Republican David McCormick is leading Democratic incumbent Senator Bob Casey.

In Wisconsin, Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin has a slight edge on Republican challenger Eric Hovde.

Voters are still being counted and some races are likely to head to recounts, but should the numbers hold, Republicans would add two more seats to their 52 seat majority having flipped three seats already in the November election.

‘We invite you to join the Harris-Walz campaign for an event with Vice President Kamala Harris today at Howard University in Washington, D.C.,’ read the text.

‘Doors will open at 1:00 PM.’

Harris was scheduled to speak at Howard on Tuesday night and the atmosphere at the event was jubilant as initial results rolled in.

As the night dragged on and it became clear that Harris would not defeat Trump, her supporters grew dour.

Cedric Richmond, Harris’ campaign co-chair, then told the audience they ‘won’t hear from the vice president tonight.’

Republicans have won control of the Senate, retaking the chamber for the first time in four years.

It gives the GOP a major power center in Washington and a lead role in confirming the next president’s Cabinet, as well as any Supreme Court justices if there are vacancies.

Control over the House of Representatives is still up for grabs, with over 100 races yet to be called.

A panel of CNN political reporters were stunned into a stony silence after their Republican pundit spelled out why ordinary Americans voted for Donald Trump.

Scott Jennings, 47, has been praised for telling the ‘absolute unadulterated truth’ by describing the election result as ‘revenge of the regular old working-class American’ who feel like they have been demonized by the left as ‘garbage’ and ‘Nazis’.

The Utah senator, known as a prominent ‘Never Trump Republican,’ issued a message congratulating the president-elect on Wednesday.

Shares of Tesla soared Wednesday following an election that will send Donald Trump back to the White House, an outcome that had been strongly bacled by CEO Elon Musk in the closing months of the race.

Tesla stands to make significant gains under a Trump administration with the threat of diminished subsidies for alternative energy and electric vehicles doing the most harm to smaller competitors.

Tesla dominates sales of electric vehicles in the U.S, with 48.9% in market share through the middle of 2024, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Tesla shares jumped 13 percent Wednesday while shares of rival electric vehicle makers tumbled.

Trump’s team is pledging that the second won’t look much like the first one Trump established after his 2016 victory.

The president-elect now has a 75-day transition period to build out his team before Inauguration Day arrives on January 20.

One top item on the to-do list: filling around 4,000 government positions with political appointees, people specifically tapped for their jobs by Trump’s team.

That includes everyone from the secretary of state and other heads of Cabinet departments to those selected to serve part-time on boards and commissions. Around 1,200 of those presidential appointments require Senate confirmation, which should be easier with the senate now shifting to GOP control.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison is not expected to seek renomination when the party holds a leadership vote early next year, according to Reuters.

Harrison, who came under criticism for his strong backing to keep Joe Biden in the 2024 race, signaled his plans to leave the position before Tuesday’s disappointing results for Democrats, sources said.

Harrison is expected to hold an all-staff meeting on Wednesday to discuss the results and why they fell short of his public expectations and also to discuss a potential timeline for a leadership vote, which is expected to come before April.

The somber hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe were left stunned by Donald Trump‘s political comeback and even admitted it was clear he appears to know best what Americans really want.

Kamala Harris has yet to concede the 2024 election to Donald Trump, and the pressure on her to do so is mounting.

The Democratic nominee has not addressed the outcome of the presidential election, which the Associated Press called as a victory for Trump around 5:30 am ET on Wednesday morning.

Now the Harris campaign is announcing that Harris will deliver a speech at her alma mater Howard University in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon.

The Democrat was supposed to make a cameo at the college on Tuesday evening but opted not to leave her vice presidential residence as results came in showing Trump ahead.

President Joe Biden has been conspicuously silent after the election as well.

The sitting president was reportedly watching the results come in with family and close friends at the White House late on Tuesday evening.

But Fox News’ Peter Doocy reported around 11 pm ET that lights within the executive mansion had been slowly turning off room by room, indicating that its occupants were heading to bed before the race was called.

Former President George W. Bush said he and his wife, Laura, ‘join our fellow citizens in praying for the success of our new leaders at all levels of government.’

Some top former Republican officials, including Bush’s vice president, Dick Cheney, had endorsed Harris. But Bush remained neutral.

Bush also thanked ‘President Biden and Vice President Harris for their service to our country.’

‘The strong turnout in this election is a sign of the health of our republic and the strength of our democratic institutions,’ said Bush, who called the election a ‘free, fair, safe, and secure election.’

Bitcoin jumped nearly 8% to a record $75,345.00 in early trading on Wednesday, before falling back and was recently trading at around $73,700.00.

Trump was previously a crypto skeptic but changed his mind and embraced cryptocurrencies ahead of the election.

VP Harris will be calling President-elect Trump on Wednesday to concede the election.

Neither Harris nor President Joe Biden had made any statements about the electoral results as of noon on Wednesday.

Axelrod made these comments at around 3 am ET, so the race hadn’t officially been called yet for Trump.

The S&P 500 and the Dow rocketed to record highs on Wednesday morning. The Nasdaq, the third of the main indexes, was sharply up too.

Meanwhile, the small cap Russell 2000 soared a staggering 6.2 percent to its highest level since early 2022 as domestic-focused stocks expect to benefit from an easier regulatory and tax regime, as well as be less exposed to likely import tariffs.

The former Republican congresswoman, who is the daughter of former VP Dick Chaney, had endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

Former First Daughter Ivanka Trump has made an appearance at her father’s Mar-a-Lago election party as insiders reveal she is considering a return to politics.

An unidentified source told Page Six that Ivanka would join former President Donald Trump at his private club for the election results, and another source later confirmed she was present with her husband, Jared Kushner.

• Meanwhile Missouri viters overturned one of the nation’s strictest abortion bans, protecting the right of an abortion up until viability.
• In Arizona, which currently bans abortion past 15 weeks, voters backed a measure to protect abortion rights up until viability. Though there’s no defined time frame, doctors say viability is sometime after 21 weeks.
• In Nevada, New York and Colorado, voters reaffirmed abortion and reproductive rights.
• An abortion rights measure in Montana had yet to be called.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was left stunned after preliminary analysis showed that Kamala Harris failed to convincingly outperform Joe Biden across any state.

The Vice President not only lost to Donald Trump, but appears to have unperformed across the board compared to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Analysis by CNN at around 2am (ET)  Wednesday revealed that Harris failed to out perform her boss by three percent in any state.

Though Republicans have been named the winners of the White House and Senate, dozens of races in the House of Representatives may take days if not weeks to call.

Donald Trump was projected as the winner of the 2024 election by the Associated Press at 5:34 am ET on Wednesday morning after the outlet declared the Republican had won the critical swing state of Wisconsin.

The GOP also gained control over the Senate after flipping multiple seats red, with some races still yet to be finalized and pick-up opportunities still on the table.

Republicans now need to maintain control over the House to have a full supermajority in Washington, D.C., which would have major consequences for Democrats.

Democratic Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego, an Iraq War veteran, took an early lead over well-known former television news anchor and staunch Donald Trump ally Kari Lake in Tuesday’s election for U.S. Senate.

The race in a state with a recent history of close elections is among a handful of contests that will determine how large a Republican majority Trump will work with in the Senate when the president-elect returns to the White House next year. The GOP clinched the Senate majority Tuesday night, retaking it from Democrats who held it for four years.

In a break with tradition, Lake and the Arizona Republican Party did not hold an election night party. She posted about results in the presidential race and shared complaints from others about the pace of vote counting in Maricopa County but did not say anything about her own race.

The winner of the Senate race will replace Kyrsten Sinema, whose 2018 victory as a Democrat created a formula that the party has successfully replicated since.

VP Kamala Harris is expected to address her supporters later on Wednesday at her alma mater, Howard University, in Washington DC, NBC reported.

It’s not clear at what time Harris will deliver the speech.

Harris had planned to celebrate election night Tuesday at Howard, but her supporters were left waiting as it was announced she would not make a speech as Trump’s win became evident shortly after midnight.

The American rapper, 32, unleashed an expletive-laden rant towards Trump’s army of supporters as the Republican leader closed in on a historic win to cement his return to the White House.

Trudeau congratulated Trump in a post on the social platform X and included a picture of the two of them in the White House during the President-elect’s first term.

Trump as president called Trudeau ‘weak’ and ‘dishonest’ and attacked Canada’s vital trade. He threatened tariffs on cars and imposed them on steel.

Senior Trump adviser Jason Miller appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday and shared what’s next for the Trump team.

Miller said Trump is ‘doing great’ this morning after his electoral win.

‘He wants to heal the country. This is the time when we put aside political divisions.

‘We bring Democrats, Republicans, people awho aren’t involved in politics, together.’

Trump cannot run for re-election again after being elected to two non-consecutive terms.

The US Costitution’s 22nd Amendment dicatates that presidents can only serve a total of two terms, or eight years – a precedent set by George Washington.

It reads: ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once.’

He becomes the first president in over 130 years – and only the second in history – to win a non-consecutive second term.
