Oasis, Dua Lipa and Coldplay lead Britain’s £11bn rock ‘n’ roll boom
Oasis, Dua Lipa and Coldplay helped attract a record audience to UK concerts last year in an £11billion boost to the economy.
Figures from industry body UK Music show 24.7m people attended gigs in 2025, which was up 4.8 per cent on the year before.
This included 2.1m tourists from abroad – a 26.8 per cent increase.
The star-studded line-up included the long-anticipated Oasis reunion tour last summer.
Pop star Dua Lipa also performed two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium and two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on her Radical Optimism Tour.
Festivals such as Glastonbury, where the headline acts included Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young, also contributed to a record spend by fans of £11.2billion.

This included a staggering £5.7billion being spent on costs such as tickets, travel, accommodation and drinks at venues.
The remaining £5.5billion was then spent on the cost of putting on the events, including hiring the security required to stage the shows.
UK Music chief executive Tom Kiehl said: ‘The billions spent are a huge shot in the arm for towns and cities right across the UK and benefit hotels, restaurants, bars and transport firms, and thousands of other businesses.’
