Dan Schneider filed a defamation lawsuit on Wednesday against the producers of “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” a docuseries on the alleged toxic working conditions for child actors during Nickelodeon’s golden age.
Schneider filed the lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television, among others, calling the documentary a “hit job” that falsely implied that he sexually abused child actors during his time working at Nickelodeon as a producer and writer on a number of popular shows, such as “All That.” He is seeking damages and the potential to edit, remove, or take down portions of some or all of “Quiet on Set” and its trailer.
